![]() I would actually lean towards the original because, while shorter and having less extra "content", I really felt abandoned in a creepy mansion (come on, E. On the other hand, at least we got the ScareScraper, which on higher difficulties, DID make the ghosts a genuine threat. I see what you mean with the normal ghosts not being much of a threat. I mean, Poltergust is very strong vacuum cleaner but they are freaking ghosts! In both games I died like 3 times and they were only due my own clumsy playing, no game difficulty. Only thing I could wish is making the casual ghost more of a threat. Also DM contains more secrets and multiplayer giving it more gameplay time.īoth games are (imo) equally good. There was more variety in enviroments and.the bosses! They were awesome! Every boss so unique (well I didn't like the "ice one" that much) and later ones were actually little challenging. Now that I have completed the game only 3 days ago, I can honestly say this was truly worthy sequel. Oh how much I smiled when I heard there was a Luigi's Mansion sequel coming for 3DS. I was kind of disappointed they didnt have that in DM excluding few parts. "Mario? Maaaariiooo?!" I loved that stuff. Still original is freaking awesome and I have played it 4 times through. I don't know how someone could say original Luigi's Mansion had outstanding bosses They were one of the weakest links for me about the game. What do you guys think about the two games as a whole? If Metroid 2, Partners in time, Sonic Advance 2 and other sequels weren't as great as the original, then yeah I guess I can say that this game could be the learning curve for Nintendo to make the next game even better. I don't want the next game right now, but I don't want to wait too long for the next one. I could easily give Dark Moon an 8/10 and its the best 3DS game I've played so far. Infact I love this game's animation more than the original with the humor, graphics and all that polish. So yeah I started being nice about the game and I still like the game and had a fun time with it. With this I got really frustrated and was gonna say something bad about it untill i got the ending and that is when I got soft for the game. At the same time, the vacuum doesn't suck like the original where you can suck atleast four but here, its only two. I don't want to complain about the controls because I had no issue with them. Luigi will get scared by the traps but not by the ghosts which is a bummer. speaking of ghosts, they don't scare you even when you are trapped. they are poorly done than the original and the only ghost that is actually a ghost is the sneaker because its the only one that scares Luigi. But its not that problematic but when it comes to it, its frustrating. Then Ranks are another bit problematic in this one because depending on how you finish the level, you're given a score and it does work, it really does but there are times where I did everything right and i STILL get silver. There are many times where Luigi will just look at something making me think that there's something there but apparently not which alone is frustrating when you're searching for Boos and Gems. Because of this, searching for Gems and Boos can range from being fun to being a chore because you're not given any hints or a radar as to where they are. Its not open-ended like the original making searching stuff more like a chore because of it being too linear and I know why they decided to do this because of it being in a handheld and all, but you play games like Super Mario 64 DS and then you'd think "Why like this?". I had some problems dealing with the game but it took sometime for that and as I went on, I started enjoying the game. Still I decided to get the game after my exam because I LOVE Luigi and this is the sequel to my favorite game so I got it and played it. When I saw further, it for some reason didn't feel as much as the original did. Ok I first want to say that I was psyched when I saw the sequel to a game I love so much. The ghosts, the story, the voice s just there and its my favorite game of all time. Luigi's actions are great, the poltergust 3000 is beautiful and the game boy horror.LOVE IT SO MUCH! The game is short but I don't care about that because I loved everything about it. Me? Well first off, I love the original so much because it had everything you'd want in a horror sort of place only not very scary but friendly scary. What are your thoughts on these two gems here?
